Juan Carlos De Martin - Network coordinatorAssociate Professor at the Politecnico di Torino's Information Engineering School, where he leads the Internet Media Group, he previously spent several years at Italy's National Research Council, two years as Visiting Scholar at the University of California, and two years in Dallas as Texas Instruments technical staff member and as adjunct professor at the University of Texas. Federica Cedriano- Administrative and Project ManagerFederica Cedriano joined the COMMUNIA coordinating team in November 2008. She works as the COMMUNIA project administrative coordinator. Federica’s main responsibilities include managing the project budget, administering the workshops and conferences organized by the project and, in general, to ensure the smooth operation of the network. Federica, who has already managed several EU-funded projects, holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science of University of Turin and she has a Post -graduate Master of first level in “Social Planning. Melanie Dulong de Rosnay - Publication managerShe is currently a fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School and at Science Commons. Her postdoctoral research focuses on open data policy, copyright, libraries, open access, information science. Beside teaching copyright law, she co-edited a book and worked on legal metadata and ontologies, rights expression languages, and technical standardization. Selina Fenoglietto - Administrative assistantSelina Fenoglietto joined the NEXA Center for Internet & Society in May 2009. She holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Torino. She has managed the administrative and accounting activities within the EEIG Astrale Consortium, being responsible of the Technical Assistance and of the monitoring of the Life projects. Her former experiences include the administrative management for projects funded by the European Commission, the World Bank, the Italian Foreign Office. Giancarlo Frosio - Chief Editor of the Final ReportGiancarlo Frosio joined the COMMUNIA project in March 2010 as the project owner of the Final Strategic Report on the digital public domain.] Giancarlo is a qualified attorney with a law degree from Università Cattolica in Milan, an LL.M in information technology and telecommunications law from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, and an LL.M with emphasis in intellectual property law from Duke University in Durham, NC. He is currently completing his doctoral degree in intellectual property law at Duke University Law School under the supervision of Professor Jerome H. Reichman. His doctoral research focuses on copyright law, public domain, Internet and user based creativity, network information economy, access to knowledge (A2K), and identity politics. He is a fellow of the Nexa Research Center for Internet and Society. He is also the author of numerous legal articles and publications. |

Luca Leschiutta - System administratorAfter graduating in Electronic Engineering, he pursued a PhD in Information Technology at Politecnico di Torino, where he currently is a post-doc researcher in the Internet Media Group. His preferred fields have always been image compression and wireless networking. Bernardo Parrella - Dissemination managerUS-based freelance journalist, translator, consultant and activist on digital culture and technology matters. Anna Piccitto - Event & Communications ManagerAnna Piccitto joined the Nexa Center in June 2009. After a Bachelor degree in Sciences of Communication, Anna started to work in 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Committee in the Accreditation Department and successively in 2007 Turin Winter Universiade Committee as Accreditation manager. Afterwards she worked in the publishing area as editorial product controller and marketing and special event responsible. Then she improved her communication knowledge working as comunication and press office responsible for an events agency. In Nexa she is in charge of communication, press office and events. Quite precisely Anna's main responsibilities consists in keeping contact with media, following Nexa's Image and taking care of the events logistic and orgainization.
