Turkish OCW movement: Current status and future

The Turkish OCW movement has initiated by Turkish Academy of Sciences in 2007. Currently about 60 universities are members of the concortium. However, the number of open courses are very limited. According to our recent research study, faculty members belive the importance of OCW but they are hesitant to open their courses. Copyright issue is seen as the first obstacle. By the support of State Planning Agency, we are expecting a major improvement in the Turkish OCW movement. In my talk I will bring those issues into the consideration of audience.
