Educators and institutions are publishing OER at an incredible rate,
on a variety of publishing platforms. The promise of OER, however, is dependent on users finding those materials and using (and repurposing) those resources. Search and discovery is the link between creators and users; exposing license information is the key to turning users into creators, able to repurpose the works they find. Creative Commons' experience developing license search tools is being applied to the question of search for OER, with promising results. In this talk I'll cover Creative Commons' approach to search, continuing challenges to improving search and discovery for OER, and prospects for overcoming these challenges.
